Article of the day : prostitute, sex offender pimp investigated: Orange Village police blotter...
Officers assisted a Lake County police agency on May 8 as they tracked down a girl, 16, listed as an endangered runaway, who was staying in the Super 8 motel and possibly working as a prostitute, advertising online. She was taken into custody without incident about 2 p.m., with evidence of drugs found in the motel room.
Signing and paying for her room was a Maple Heights man, 25, whom Orange police confirmed as a frequent visitor, raising suspicions as they were conducting other investigations in the area.
A criminal background check showed he is currently on parole and is listed as a registered sex offender for sexual assault and compelling prostitution, with the investigation continuing.
